Brigadier General Ja’fari who was speaking at the opening ceremony of a new IRGC center in Alborz province on Thursday evening, referring to the West as the “enemy” all the same stressed, “The enemy should never be trusted, though,”
“The Islamic Revolution is basically opposed to the global hegemonic, oppressor system and so long as the revolution’s fundamentals and mottoes remain in place, the oppressor and hegemonic system cannot come to terms with it, unless the United States’ arrogant nature would change, in which case there would remain no cause for enmity and war between them and us,” he said.
Brigadier General Ja’fari also focused on the range of the IRGC missiles, reiterating, “The IGGC pursues the objective of further advancement of its missile systems and in this field the Supreme Leader’s commands will be pursued.”
The IRGC chief also referred to the existence of a deviated trend in the country, which is trying to change the authentic and original course of the revolution into a deviated path, which would lead to undesirable objectives.
He said, “Such objectives were once crystallized in their motto ‘Neither Gaza, Nor Lebanon, I Give My Life, But for Iran’, in the course of the 2009 (post presidential) sedition, which led nowhere, thanks to the Supreme Leader’s wise initiatives.”
Brigadier General Ja’fari also noted that the nuclear issue is, but the enemy’s pretext for imposing pressure against the Iranian people, aimed at convincing them to part with the revolution’s mottoes.
On November 24, Tehran and the six world powers - the US, China, Russia, France, Britain and Germany - inked an interim deal in Geneva to pave the way for the full resolution of the West’s decade-old dispute with Iran over the country’s nuclear energy program.
In exchange for Iran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities, the United States and its allies have agreed to lift some of the existing sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
Later on, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi and IAEA Director General Yokia Amano signed a joint statement in Tehran on November 12 on a road map for more cooperation on outstanding nuclear issues.
